Waterproof Cycling Caps & Helmet Covers

How to choose a waterproof cycling cap or helmet cover?

When choosing rain protection for your head, the main decision is whether you want to cover your helmet from the outside or wear a waterproof cap underneath it. Both options are designed for riding in wet conditions, but they work differently.

• Helmet covers. Fit over your cycling helmet and help prevent rain and wind from entering through its ventilation openings. Make sure the cover is suitable for your helmet's shape and size.
• Waterproof cycling caps. Worn under a helmet, they help protect your head from rain and moisture. Look for breathable fabrics, a comfortable fit and a design that doesn't interfere with proper helmet positioning.
• Visibility. Bright colours and reflective details are useful when riding in rainy or overcast conditions.
