The Y1Rs is particularly well suited to fast courses, intense sprints and long attacks where maintaining the highest possible speed with less energy is crucial. • High-end carbon frame: the carbon fibre construction is specifically engineered for racing, providing efficient power transfer, low weight and precise handling. The frame shape is optimised to reduce aerodynamic drag while maintaining high stiffness.
• Advanced aerodynamic construction: compared with the Colnago V4Rs, the frontal area of the new Y1Rs has been reduced by 19%. Specially shaped frame tubes, the integrated cockpit and curved down tube help direct airflow more efficiently and reduce drag at high speeds.
• Wind tunnel-proven aerodynamic efficiency: according to manufacturer testing, at 50 km/h the Y1Rs requires 20 W less power than the V4Rs under the same test conditions. This provides a significant advantage in fast races and sprints.
• Increased frame stiffness: the updated construction is 3.5% stiffer compared with the previous model. This allows more efficient power transfer and provides a faster response to sudden accelerations.
