Woom or Bemoov: Which Kids' Bike Should You Choose?

Woom or Bemoov: Which Kids' Bike Should You Choose?
2026-10-02 Viktorija Kaupienė

Woom or Bemoov – What's the Difference Between These Kids' Bikes?

Woom and Bemoov share a similar idea – a kids' bike should be designed specifically for children rather than simply being a scaled-down version of an adult bike. Both manufacturers focus on low weight, child-friendly geometry and components that are easy for smaller hands to operate.

However, when choosing between Bemoov and Woom, you shouldn't look at the brand alone. Depending on the wheel size and specific model, the bikes differ in weight, brakes, gears, tyres, intended use and price. That's why it's best to compare models designed for children of a similar height.

Bemoov – an Alternative to Woom Kids' Bikes?

Bemoov is not yet as well known in Lithuania as Woom, but the two brands are worth comparing when looking for a lightweight, child-friendly bike. Like Woom, Bemoov offers models for different stages of a child's growth – from balance bikes to 26-inch bikes.

Similarly sized Bemoov and Woom models often differ in weight by only a few hundred grams, while their components and prices can vary. Bemoov should therefore be seen not as a copy of Woom, but as a separate alternative. When choosing, it's worth comparing specific models – for example, the Bemoov M14 and Woom GO 2 or the Bemoov M16 and Woom GO 3 – and considering what each offers for your budget.

Bemoov and Woom Size Comparison

Both Bemoov and Woom offer kids' bikes for different stages of a child's growth – from balance bikes to 26-inch models. In the smaller sizes, the Bemoov M14, M16 and M20 can be compared with Woom GO models designed for children of a similar height. In the 24- and 26-inch sizes below, we compare the sportier, off-road-oriented Bemoov T24 and T26 with the Woom OFF 5 and OFF 6.

However, wheel size alone should not determine your choice. Bikes with the same wheel size may be designed for children of different heights and different types of riding, so it's important to consider not only wheel diameter but also the manufacturer's recommended height range, geometry and the intended use of the specific model.

Wheel size Bemoov model Child's height Weight Woom model Child's height Weight
12" balance bike Bemoov M12 80-100 cm 3.4 kg Woom GO 1 82-100 cm 3.0 kg
14″ Bemoov M14 95–110 cm 5.3 kg Woom GO 2 95–110 cm 5.0 kg
16″ Bemoov M16 105–120 cm 5.7 kg Woom GO 3 105–120 cm 5.4 kg
20″ Bemoov M20 115–130 cm 8.2 kg Woom GO 4 115–130 cm 7.8 kg
24″ Bemoov T24 110–145 cm 9.6 kg Woom OFF 5 128–145 cm 9.1 kg
26″ Bemoov T26 120–160 cm 10.4 kg Woom OFF 6 140–165 cm 10.0 kg

* Bicycle weights as stated by the manufacturers. When choosing a bike, we recommend considering not only wheel size but also the height recommendations for the specific model.

Which Is Lighter – Bemoov or Woom?

Both manufacturers offer lightweight kids' bikes, but neither brand can be described as lighter across all sizes. For example, based on the manufacturers' stated weights without pedals, the Bemoov M14 weighs 5.3 kg, while the Woom GO 2 weighs 5.0 kg. The Bemoov M16 weighs 5.7 kg compared with 5.4 kg for the Woom GO 3. In the 20-inch category, the Bemoov M20 weighs 8.2 kg, while the Woom GO 4 weighs 7.8 kg.

The differences remain relatively small in the larger models: the Bemoov T24 has a stated weight of 9.6 kg, compared with 9.1 kg for the Woom OFF 5. The Bemoov T26 weighs 10.4 kg, while the Woom OFF 6 weighs 10.0 kg. Therefore, weight is best evaluated in the context of a specific size and model rather than by brand name alone.

Components Matter Too

For the smallest bikes, simple handling, the right size and low weight are particularly important. As children grow, the drivetrain, brakes, tyres and intended use of the bike become increasingly important.

Bemoov or Woom Based on Your Child's Riding Needs?

If the bike will mainly be used on asphalt, cycle paths and for everyday rides, there's no need to choose the most advanced components. In this case, the right size, low weight and easy handling are more important.

If your child rides on forest trails, uneven terrain or more sportily, it's worth paying greater attention to tyres, brakes, gears and the intended use of the specific model. In addition to its main M-series models, Bemoov also offers bikes for different types of riding, so wheel size alone does not always indicate which model is best suited to your child.

What About Price?

Price is one of the more noticeable differences between Bemoov and Woom. When comparing similarly sized models, Bemoov often costs less than the corresponding Woom bike, even though the weight difference between some models is only a few hundred grams. For those looking for a lightweight, child-friendly bike, Bemoov can therefore be an attractive alternative to Woom at a lower price.

Size Bemoov model Bemoov price Woom model Woom price
12″ balance bike Bemoov M12 229 € Woom GO 1 269 €
14″ Bemoov M14 389 € Woom GO 2 429 €
16″ Bemoov M16 399 € Woom GO 3 479 €
20″ Bemoov M20 499 € Woom GO 4 549 €
24″ Bemoov T24 649 € Woom OFF 5 899 €
26″ Bemoov T26 699 € Woom OFF 6 949 €

* Prices may change. The table shows the retail prices applicable at the time of comparison.

However, price should not be considered in isolation. Specific models differ in brakes, gears and other components, so it's important to first choose the right size and type of bike for your child and then consider what each model offers for its price.

So – Bemoov or Woom?

There is no single answer for every child. Woom and Bemoov both offer lightweight bikes designed for children, but individual models differ in components, weight, intended use and price. It's therefore better to compare specific models designed for the same child height and riding needs rather than comparing the brands as a whole.

If you're considering Bemoov, you can learn more about the manufacturer on the Bemoov page, while currently available models can be found in the Bemoov kids' bikes category.
