3T eExtrema Italia X – Electric Gravel Bike for Demanding Routes and Long Adventures

3T eExtrema Italia X – a premium electric gravel bike designed for riders who want to tackle more demanding routes, steep climbs and long distances without losing the sporty feel of traditional cycling. This model combines the character of the conventional Extrema Italia with additional electric assistance, making technical off-road sections easier to manage and helping riders distribute their effort more efficiently on long journeys. The eExtrema Italia_X stands out for its sporty handling and natural pedalling feel, making it ideal for intensive gravel training, off-road adventures and bikepacking trips.

Key features:

• Jazz Carbon frame made in Italy: the carbon frame is manufactured at the 3T factory in Presezzo using proprietary Filament Winding and RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) technologies. This manufacturing process allows precise control over carbon fibre placement and helps achieve an effective balance of stiffness, durability and weight.
• Mahle X20 electric system: a specially adapted motor integrated into the rear hub delivers up to 65 Nm of torque. Its compact construction allows the bike to retain traditional gravel geometry while providing smooth and natural electric assistance.
• Integrated 350 Wh battery: the Mahle iX350 battery is concealed inside the down tube, providing long battery life while maintaining a clean and integrated bike design. According to the manufacturer, under suitable conditions it is possible to cover more than 150 km and 2000 m of vertical climbing.
• Optional Mahle Range Extender battery: an additional 173 Wh battery can be mounted in place of a bottle cage. It weighs approximately 1.1 kg and can increase riding range by up to 50%. The additional battery is sold separately.
• Four electric assistance modes: three factory-set assistance levels and a fourth individually configurable mode allow motor support to be adapted to the route, terrain and personal preferences.
• MySmartBike app integration: Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity allow electric assistance settings to be adjusted, system data to be monitored and compatible Garmin devices to be connected.
• RealFast aerodynamic construction: the specially shaped down tube, aerodynamic head tube and seat tube positioned close to the rear wheel help reduce air resistance. The construction is optimised for real-world riding conditions, including crosswinds, wide tyres and additional accessories.
• Clearance for extra-wide tyres: the frame accommodates 700C / 29-inch tyres up to 57 mm actual width (WAM). Recommended tyre widths of 47–57 mm provide strong grip, stability and comfort on rocky trails, gravel roads and more demanding off-road terrain.
• 3Touring geometry: compared with the sportier eRacemax model, the slightly more upright riding position and more stable handling provide greater control on technical sections and improved comfort on longer rides.
• 3T Fango Extrema Integrale carbon fork: the lightweight and strong fork with a compact upper section is designed for demanding routes. Three mounting points on each side allow additional bags, bottle cages or other bikepacking accessories to be fitted.
• 3T MORE Integrale system: fully integrated brake hose and cable routing provides a clean front-end appearance, improves aerodynamics and protects internal components from external elements.
• Dropper post compatibility: the 27.2 mm round seatpost standard allows compatible wireless dropper and suspension seatposts to be used, providing greater control on technical descents.
• Double-Drop chainstays: dropped stays on both sides create more clearance for wide tyres and the crankset while increasing rear triangle stiffness and overall structural efficiency.
• UDH universal derailleur hanger: compatible with modern electronic drivetrains, including direct-mount SRAM Eagle Transmission derailleurs.
• Direct brake mounting: the front and rear frame construction is designed for 160 mm brake rotors without additional adapters, reducing the number of unnecessary components.
• Threaded bottom bracket: the construction simplifies maintenance and provides secure component installation while avoiding additional press-fit connections.
• Exclusive Italia_X finish: the Project X design with visible natural carbon fibre structure highlights the frame manufacturing technology. Matte and glossy finish options are available.
• Available builds: depending on the selected version, the bike is equipped with SRAM electronic drivetrains and 3T Discus 45|40 LTD carbon wheels.
• Electric assistance speed: up to 25 km/h in accordance with European Union e-bike regulations.
