Specialized Chisel Mountain Bike | Gloss Dove Grey - Ashen Grey

Revolutionary Lightweight Design and Speed

The Chisel is not just any full suspension bike; it is the lightest and fastest alloy model in the world, setting a new standard for the category. Weighing 18.4% lighter than its closest competitor, the Chisel inherits its geometry and kinematics from the world-renowned Epic 8 mountain bike, which is designed for World Cup racing. This pedigree ensures that whether you're competing in a race or enjoying fast laps on local trails, the Chisel delivers noticeable performance enhancements. Employing D’Aluisio Smartweld technology, the Chisel features an aluminum XC frameset that is the lightest in its class, providing a blend of stiffness for efficiency and compliance for comfort and control, aptly named "Speed Metal."

Unmatched Capability and Handling

The Chisel's capability is rooted in its advanced design, sharing much of its DNA with the Epic 8. It boasts 110mm of Ride Dynamics tuned suspension, making it supremely capable of managing varied terrain with confidence and speed. This high-performance suspension, combined with progressive geometry honed on demanding World Cup courses, allows the Chisel to navigate technical terrains effortlessly. Such features ensure that the Chisel stands out as a top contender for serious mountain bikers looking to push their limits.

Efficiency and Advanced Design Features

Efficiency is at the core of the Chisel's design. Its geometry and kinematics, inspired by the Epic 8 World Cup racing platform, position the rider optimally for pedaling. A steep seat tube angle and refined anti-squat characteristics minimize pedal-bob, translating every watt of power into forward motion. Additionally, the Chisel employs a flex stay rear end, commonly found in carbon frames, to provide superior suspension performance without the weight and maintenance of traditional pivot designs. This advanced alloy construction is further enhanced by a hydroformed seat tube, integrating crucial components into a single piece for reduced weight and increased structural integrity.
