Important information about Schwalbe Ice Spiker tires
- In order to ensure the lasting grip of the spikes, the tires should be run in for approx. 40 km on asphalt. Avoid hard acceleration and braking.
- Spikes can be ridden on normal asphalt roads, but cause running noise
- Spikes on bicycles are not forbidden, except for S-pedelecs (special regulation for motor vehicles). (in Germany)
- Schwalbe spikes have a core made of extremely wear-resistant hard metal (tungsten carbide) and last for several thousand kilometres.
- In deep snow even studded tires reach their limits
