This year, Elite welcomes a new addition to the range of thermal bottles for cycling, the NANO FLY, a new option to hydrate with cold liquids while cycling.
Designed as a natural evolution of the FLY - used by great WorldTour teams by virtue of its exceptional lightness - and the NANOGELITE - Elite’s first thermal bottle for cold drinks, also notable for its lightness - the NANO FLY is the world’s lightest thermal bottle.
This is all due its materials that allow for high thermal capacity, extra lightness and great flexibility in a single product.
This is a distinctive feature that distances it from traditional thermal bottles that usually have a much more rigid bottle body.
Liquids stay cold for up to 4 hours
The NANO FLY ability to maintain constant temperature on cold liquids comes from its Nanogel® structure, which is the world’s lightest insulating material, 5% made of solid material and 95% made of air. The nanopores matrix contained in the internal cavity of the bottle ensures high levels of thermal insulation, which provides a drastic reduction in temperature transmission.
To be accurate, up to 4 hours with cold liquids, double what the traditional commercially available thermal bottles.
An extraordinarily light thermal bottle
The NANO FLY is the world’s lightest commercially available thermal bottle by virtue of its record lightness, only 109 gr, an achievement reached after a 3-year research study conducted in cooperation with many Italian Universities for the creation of a light and resistant material - the goal was to have a bottle that was thinner yet with unaltered performances.
As we decrease the quantity of material we need - a result that allowed us to reduce the environmental impact of the production of these bottles - we also lowered its total weight and the tickness of the bottle body, which is now soft and squeezable.
Together with the cap with push-pull valve that makes it easy to open and close it while cycling, the bottle ensures constant and abundant flow by gently pressing with your hand, so drinking from it is easier and more satisfying, especially when you’re on the saddle.
An innovative design
Years of research and avant-garde technology resulted in a high quality thermal bottle, which not only ensured a high degree of thermal insulation, it also guarantees a tight and practical grip on the bottle, especially while cycling.
To do so we needed an innovative, ergonomic-structure design that featured widened mouth and cavities to make it even easier to grip and ensure it’s perfectly tight under any circumstance.
Just like all the Elite bottles, this new thermal model too has the standard diameter (Ø74 mm).
Safe and odourless
It’s important to remember that NANO FLY is made in BPA (Bisphenol-A) free certified plastic materials, totally compliant with all the more restrictive EC and FDA regulations concerning products that come into contact with foodstuffs.
The rubber valve of the bottle boasts an innovative odourless and tasteless material, designed to maintain unaltered the taste of the liquid it contains.
